Press release
8.12.2016

As of this week, Hansabuss, one of the largest bus transportation companies in the Baltics, is headed by Henri Kaasik-Aaslav as CEO.

According to Neeme Tammis, head of Hansa Group, the company was looking for a CEO who would be able to further strengthen Hansabuss’ market position as the quality leader and expand the geographic reach of the business.

“Hansabuss’ team has always been driven by the vision of being non-traditionally good in a traditional business field. Such a company needs a leader who is open-minded and thinks out of the box while standing firmly on the ground with two feet. Moreover, Henri has successful and versatile experience in international business management. He was a natural choice to lead the company and to inspire the team to reach higher and farther after 20 years of operation in Estonia and ten years in Latvia,” Tammis noted.

Henri Kaasik-Aaslav has long-term management experience in the trade and service sector, having worked for years in the Carlsberg Group, Vendor and Paulig Group, where he was responsible for the management of the Baltic enterprises. As the CEO of Hansabuss in the Baltics, Kaasik-Aaslav is in charge of the management of the company’s business divisions in Estonia and Latvia as well as entering new markets.

Kaasik-Aaslav said that he was very glad to join the Hansabuss team. “Transport sector is a new and extremely exciting challenge for me. I see plenty of opportunities to use my experience for expanding the company’s operations and increasing efficiency. We intend to leave a clear footprint in the development of the Baltic transport market as the quality leader,” Kaasik-Aaslav noted.

Hansabuss is one of the largest bus transportation service providers in the Baltics. The annual turnover of the Latvian and Estonian divisions of Hansabuss combined (excluding Hansa Bussiliinid AS, which provides county bus services in Estonia) exceeds 12 million euros, and the company employs 350 people. Hansabuss’ fleet comprises 200 buses which cover various customer needs in the sphere of route and charter transport.

The Hansabuss group comprises the parent company Hansabuss AS and its subsidiaries Hansa Bussiliinid AS, Samat AS, Hansabuss Latvia SIA, Tukuma Auto SIA and Tutransauto SIA. Hansabuss itself is a part of the Hansa Group (NTH Holding OÜ), which also includes car rental companies Hansarent OÜ and Baltic Mobility OÜ (Europcar Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania as well as Interrent Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) and AS Iv Pluss, specialising in the sale and maintenance of Iveco and Iveco Bus vehicles. The consolidated total revenue of the Hansa Group exceeds 35 million euros per year, and the group’s companies provide over 600 jobs in the Baltics.
